On Sunday, June 7, 2009, Carlisle Fire Co responded to a reported car fire on North Street just east of N. Dupont Blvd. 42-32 arrived on scene and reported an SUV fully involved. Deputy Chief Joe Mriss in Command 42 arrived on scene and reported same. Engine 42-5 with Chief Charlie Vanaman as officer and his crew used 1 3/4' hand line to contain fire in the engine compartment of the SUV. Engine 42-4 arrived on scene and assisted the crew of 42-5. Scene placed under control by Deputy Chief Mriss and was turned over to the Milford Police Department.
