Tuesday, July 7, 2009 - On Tuesday July 7, 2009 at 1143hrs the Carlisle Fire Co., Inc was dispatched to 500 S. DuPont Blvd The Heritage of Milford for a reported working building fire. Engine 42-4 with Chief Charlie Vanaman(42-15) arrived first on scene and found light smoke showing from side C. Due to units being out on another call Sta. 5 2 and 75 was alerted to assist. Command 42 with Asst. Chief J.R. Griffith(42-18) arrived soon after and chief Vanaman transferd the command. The bulk of the fire on the outside of the structure was knocked down by maintance with dry chem. eng 4 crew handled remaing fire surpression, Tanker 42 with Captain Justin Konesey(42-21) was assigned the operations officer. Crews from 52-5 were to handle ppv and crews from 75 and R-42 were to investigate for any remaing smoke in building. The scene was brought under control by Command 42 at 1200hrs.
