Friday, July 17, 2009 - At 0039hrs the Carlisle Fire Co., Inc with Medic 101, Trooper 2, were dispatched to a MVC Rollover with entrapment in the area of Coastal Hwy/ Cedar Beach Rd. Deputy Chief Joe Mriss (16) responded to the scene and was advised Milford PD on location confirming 1 vehicle overturned with entrapment. Deputy Chief Mriss went on location with 1 vehicle on its side with entrapment and established Coastal Hwy command. Medic 101 and A42 went on location and were advised by Coastal Hwy command to make patient contact. Rescue 42 went responding, with Asst. Chief William Carpenter (17), and were advised of the same and Engine 42-5, with Asst. Chief JR Griffith (18), followed. Medic 101 advised command Trooper 2 could be cancelled and a possible refusal. Rescue 42 went on location and was assigned to stabilize the vehicle and prepare for extrication. Engine 42-5 was advised to pull up to the scene and put a 1 ¾ trash line in service. Command placed the scene under control at 0102hrs. All units cleared the scene by 0129hrs and back in quarters by 0134hrs.
Extrication was complete by 0100hrs and was determined that the patient was not injured and refused treatment. Extrication used: High lift jacks and cribbing.
